- Oversee accounts payable operations including managing staff and records maintenance
- Responsible for general ledger accounting and accounts receivable
- Maintain internal controls and GAAP compliance
- Review the staff accountant's journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheets, accruals
- Coordinate regarding grants and reconcile compliance reporting
- Support the annual budget process
- Review and update business policies and procedures
- Act as main contact for internal and external audits
Background Expected of the Assistant Controller:
- BS in Accounting or Finance, or experience equivalent (+4 years)
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role
- CPA is a plus but not required
$135,000 - 145,000
