Assistant Camp Director

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Calling all camp enthusiasts! As the Assistant Director of our Summer Day Camp, you'll play a key role in creating the ultimate summer adventure. Under the guidance of the Summer Day Camp Director, you'll help design, organize, and run an unforgettable program. Plus, you'll lead a team of counselors and junior counselors while making sure our campers have a blast-all in a safe, fun, and organized environment.

DUTIES:

• Be the go-to leader for our amazing counselors, junior counselors, and campers.
• Design, plan, and deliver creative and engaging camp activities that keep everyone smiling.
• Keep camp records up-to-date and organized daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Help set the tone by preparing and enforcing camp rules, keeping things fun and fair.
• Listen and respond to feedback from staff, campers, and parents-and make sure everyone feels heard and supported.
• Assist in evaluating staff performance to help our team grow and shine.
• Create a high-energy environment that blends outdoor education, recreation, and pure summer joy!

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least one year of experience leading the charge in a summer day camp setting.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) is a plus!
• Proven knack for planning and scheduling classes or programs.
• Must-have certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid for infants, children, and adults. (Basic Water Rescue certification is a bonus!)
• All certifications must be completed before the first day of camp
