Assistant Buyer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Buyer to support warehouse operations, purchasing, logistics, and office administration across a growing network of facilities. This role blends inventory coordination, supply chain support, purchasing administration, and office operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do as an Assistant Buyer

  • Process freight, storage, and warehouse invoices
  • Support routine AP transactions related to logistics and handling

Purchasing & Vendor Support (50%)

  • Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders
  • Manage PO updates, change orders, and delivery tracking
  • Maintain open PO and backorder reports
  • Communicate with vendors and accounting to resolve discrepancies
  • Process freight, storage, and warehouse invoices
  • Support routine AP transactions related to logistics and handling

Sales Department Support (30%)

  • Managing trade show calendars, booth setup, registration, and costs
  • Organizing and shipping print materials, branded merchandise, and giveaways
  • Maintaining inventory of promotional items and coordinating selections with sales
  • Booking event spaces and supporting remote site needs during peak seasons
  • Managing sample warehouse inventory and coordinating product purges and replenishment

Office & Administrative Operations (20%)

  • Coordinate trade show logistics, materials, and event preparation
  • Maintain inventory of promotional and office supplies
  • Support meetings, scheduling, and internal coordination
  • Assist with general office organization and daily operational needs

What You Bring as an Assistant Buyer

Required Qualifications

  • 1 Year of purchasing or Buyer assistant experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and transactional processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Preferred Assistant BuyerQualifications
  • Experience working with warehouses or supply chain operations
  • Background in invoice processing or transactional accounting
  • Exposure to vendor management or purchasing workflows
  • Experience tracking inventory or managing product samples
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or document management systems
