Assembly Technician - North Reading, MA

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking an Assembly Technician for a contract position with a Global Technology Company located in North Reading, MA. This is a 9 month contract opportunity.

2nd Shift: M-F, 3pm - 11pm

In this position, you will be a member of the Assembly and Logistics team responsible for building, automated testing, and packaging products. This role involves robotics assembly, material handling, and contributing to process improvements to ensure on-time delivery of goods within a structured manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Build electro-mechanical units utilizing industry best practices
• 
  
• Perform Robotics assembly, Material Handling, and product packaging
• 
  
• Handle shipping, receiving, maintaining, tracking, and delivering goods for manufacturing following appropriate protocols
• 
  
• Learn systems and tools for material management as well as coordinating methods of delivery with suppliers and customers
• 
  
• Seek out improvements in processes to continuously meet on-time delivery of goods
•

Requirements:

• 
  
• 1 years of assembly experience
• 
  
• Great attitude and aptitude to learn new things
• 
  
• Comfortable with somewhat repetitive steps
• 
  
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• 
  
• Read and follow English language instructions
• 
  
• Able to work safely in a structured manufacturing environment
• 
  
  
  
   
•  

Desired skills:

• 
  
• Hand tool experience is a plus
• 
  
  
  
   
•
