Assembler I – General
Location: Sumter, SC
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
WORK SCHEDULE
- Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- H Shift: 3 days on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off
- Weekends included
POSITION SUMMARY
The Assembler I supports the fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices. This role operates within clearly defined SOPs and quality standards and may involve equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform assembly, fabrication, testing, and packaging of medical devices
- Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
- Conduct quality inspections in accordance with specifications
- Follow SOPs, scientific methods, and quality guidelines
- Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0–1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend English-language specifications
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Experience using basic measurement tools (e.g., microscopes)
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
REQUIREMENTS
- Steel toe shoes required
- Non–climate-controlled environment (Rubber Department)
- Candidates may start while background checks are pending

- Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds
