Asphalt Laborer

Responsibilities

• Maintain the mat and subgrade by sweeping, raking, shoveling, and assisting with asphalt placement.
• Support paver and roller operators with tasks needed to keep the paving process moving efficiently.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at the yard and job sites.
• Use proper hand signals to safely back up asphalt trucks and guide equipment.
• Assist with minor equipment servicing, such as checking fluids or cleaning tools.
• Perform general job site cleanup to ensure a safe and organized work area.
• Occasionally assist with traffic control, including directing vehicles and setting up road signs.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional, team-oriented work ethic.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, shoveling, and working on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in outdoor environments and various weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of job site safety practices (training provided).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: Start and end times may vary based on job site needs and project completion.
• Weekend work is not typical, but may be required occasionally based on project needs
• Holidays Off: All major holidays are off so you can enjoy time with family and recharge
