Embark on an exciting journey with us as a full-time Area Director of Finance at CoralTree Residence Collection Hawaii. Join our team and be part of a company renowned choice for managing premium and luxury residential resorts, condominiums and vacation homes. Our collection includes six properties on three islands and five associations.
The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of CoralTree Residence Collection Hawaii and ensure the company's financial health. This individual will be vital in developing financial strategies, managing financial reporting, and leading the seven-member finance team.
The Area Director of Finance will be based in Maui and directly oversees the financial reporting, accounting, tax and risk management functions of the CTRC Hawaii management business. This role oversees financial reporting and provides leadership support to the Director of Finance, Finance Manager, and Staff Accountants.
Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000, plus annual Incentive compensation bonus plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements, including variance reports.
- Responsible for the accurate preparation and monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations with timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Lead budget and forecast preparation in a collaborative environment including participation with preparing and presenting multiple business plans.
- Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, looking at the past and into the future.
- Meet with department heads to review monthly financial statements and forecasts.
- Review and approve all disbursements.
- Manage the annual audit process and delegate audit tasks to the finance team, including AOAO audits and reviews.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts and proper execution of operational tax obligations, including monthly state sales tax filings.
- Assist in strategic planning and management meetings, providing financial guidance to the executive team.
- Oversee accounting and budgeting for capital expenditures.
- Responsible for presenting financial reports to owners and AOAO’s.
- Foster a team environment with a focus on teamwork, personal and professional development, and autonomy.
- Work with People Services to ensure a high performing and high functioning finance team.
- Responsible for regular team member reviews and interviewing and hiring when required.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners.
- Maintain and update month end close checklists to maximize efficiency of the accounting team.
