Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist

Location: Newark, NJ 
Hours: Full time-In office
Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 (based on experience)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist with a proven track record of successful collections. This role requires strong follow-up skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and collections for outstanding balances

• Follow up with clients via phone and email to ensure timely payment

• Post payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks

• Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues

• Prepare AR aging reports and provide regular status updates

• Work closely with internal teams to reduce overdue balances

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks

• Demonstrated ability to collect past-due accounts successfully

• Professional, persistent, and detail-oriented

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
