Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL development, mainframe SAS conversions, and Python-based automation and a proven ability to analyze and migrate complex legacy workflows into performant, reliable Oracle solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Convert and migrate legacy Mainframe SAS processes to Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Analyze existing Mainframe SAS workflows and redesign logic for Oracle-based execution.
- Ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of Oracle-based solutions.
- Utilize Python for automation, data processing, and migration tasks.
- Support and enhance a Java-based user interface as needed.
- Use JIRA for task tracking and delivery within Agile or hybrid workflows.
- Collaborate with the technology manager for reporting, planning, and delivery oversight.
- Support team members and contribute to a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PLSQL development.
- Hands-on experience with Mainframe SAS or COBOL-based data processes.
- Working proficiency with Python for automation and data handling.
- Experience supporting or integrating with Java-based applications.
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar workflow tools in Agile environments.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a team-first mindset.
- Track record of delivering high-quality outcomes on time.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience modernizing mainframe workloads to Oracle ecosystems.
- Background with Agile ceremonies and metrics in JIRA.
