Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Application Programmer to join our dynamic team supporting the Granite Valuation Control project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, object-oriented development, SQL/Oracle, RESTful services, and Angular and a proven ability to design, build, and optimize enterprise applications that process high data volumes and integrate across platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop object-oriented software in Python using Quartz and related platforms.
  • Engineer tools to replicate and transfer data from NoSQL datastores to Oracle Exadata.
  • Design and implement REST web services and API contracts.
  • Design and integrate interfaces between Angular UI and REST services.
  • Build data-grid centric UI components with Angular (15.x or later).
  • Participate across the full software development lifecycle with Agile practices.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders in Global Markets CFO teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience designing and developing in object-oriented environments (e.g., Java, C++, C#).
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Python development.
  • 6-10 years of SQL design and tuning with Oracle or similar RDBMS.
  • Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating front-end to back-end services.
  • Experience with data replication across NoSQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of grid computing and handling high data volumes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with practices such as pair programming and daily stand-ups.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to C++ and Java in addition to Python.
  • Experience with Git, npm, and Angular 15.x or later.
  • Background in test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration.
  • Relevant banking middle/back office or finance domain experience.
