Introduction
This role is a critical position within our organization, focusing on developing, instituting, and governing architecture strategies and frameworks. The role involves architecting comprehensive end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and supporting high-level design authoring. The successful candidate will influence strategic technology spend and govern a broad portfolio.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BSc-level degree in computer science or equivalent experience in the industry
- Experience with enterprise-level technology strategy in an architecture organization
- Experience in Financial Services, specifically within markets in either Trading or Post Trade
- Application development knowledge and experience with enterprise applications, distributed services, design, and analysis
- Certification or extensive experience in industry best practices in architectural methodologies and standards (e.g., UML, BPMN)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with architecture, quality & productivity methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma)
- Experience with modern application development and deployment (Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
- Deep knowledge of Financial Services, preferably within Markets
- Leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Broad-based IT knowledge, including hardware, software, middleware, databases, and cloud
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create and maintain domain architecture strategies, blueprints, and roadmaps
- Participate in architecture consulting to enable design decisions and manage design tradeoffs
- Act as a control function to ensure adherence of designs to blueprints and enterprise standards
- Identify risks to quickly resolve issues and conflicting priorities
- Support vendor selection activities and the development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts
- Contribute to the creation and evolution of architectural patterns, principles, and guidelines
- Provide inputs to annual financial planning and other related activities
