Job Description
We are seeking an Application Architect III to join our dynamic team supporting the GCIB Document Management program within the Real Time Communications organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack engineering across Java/J2EE, .NET/C#, JavaScript/Node.js, and distributed architectures, and a proven ability to deliver enterprise-scale automation and real-time communications solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy applications for Real Time Communications and automated provisioning platforms.
- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, backend services, and UI components using .NET/C#, Java/J2EE, Node.js, and JavaScript.
- Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and production modules leveraging RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Ensure integration with enterprise voice, trader voice, mobile, session management, middleware, and contact center systems.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and low-level designs in collaboration with product, architecture, and operations partners.
- Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Execute across the SDLC including documentation, development, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve development and production issues across multiple platforms.
- Author end-user guides, technical documentation, and support tools while meeting security and operational control requirements.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the RTC platform and enhance automation through new tools and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8-10+ years of professional software development experience with large-scale enterprise applications and distributed, multithreaded design.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE and Spring, .NET/C# including .NET Core and ASP.NET MVC, and JavaScript with Node.js. JavaScript is required.
- Experience designing and building RESTful services, microservices, and APIs.
- Hands-on with SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- DevOps competencies including Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, and automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, Blazor, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Cloud and containers experience on AWS or Azure.
- Production experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.
- Experience with Jira stories and backlog management in Agile/Scrum settings.
- Experience working with remote and global teams.
