A highly respected Dallas litigation firm is seeking a senior-level Appellate Attorney to join its team and own a sophisticated appellate practice supporting high-stakes litigation across Texas and beyond.
This role is ideal for an attorney who lives and breathes appellate advocacy. Brief writing, issue spotting, record review, strategy, and oral argument, and also enjoys collaborating with trial teams to preserve error, position cases for appeal, and assist with trial coverage when needed.

Job Details
What You’ll Do:
Draft and file appellate briefs, petitions, motions, and responses
Lead complex legal research and analytical strategy on high-level issues
Present oral arguments before Texas appellate courts + federal appellate courts when appropriate
Partner with trial teams on:
preserving error
record management
appellate strategy from pre-trial through verdict
Advise clients and internal teams on appellate risk, leverage points, and opportunity
What you have:
JD from an accredited law school
Active Texas Bar license
10+ years of appellate litigation experience
Experience handling state + federal appeals
Elite legal writing ability (this is the top qualifier)
Strong oral advocacy + client communication skills
Independent operator who can also collaborate at a high level
**Highly Preferred**
Board Certification in Civil Appellate Law (Texas)
