We are currently seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Appellate Attorney to join our legal team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex legal issues, develop innovative strategies, and contribute to the success of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of appellate proceedings, including drafting briefs, presenting oral arguments, and advising on legal matters.
Responsibilities:
1. Draft, review, and revise appellate briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
2. Present oral arguments before appellate courts.
3. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support legal proceedings.
4. Collaborate with trial attorneys to develop strategies and arguments for appeal.
5. Provide advice and counsel to clients on matters related to appeals.
6. Maintain current knowledge of changes in appellate law and procedure.
7. Participate in case strategy sessions and contribute to case evaluations.
8. Advocate for clients’ interests and rights throughout the appellate process.
9. Maintain professionalism and uphold ethical standards of the legal profession.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an appellate attorney.
4. Extensive experience in drafting and editing briefs.
5. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
11. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive client relationships.
