Job Details
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, including invoice processing, payment processing, and month-end closing.
- Maintain and improve accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures for the accounts payable function to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure accurate and timely 3 Way Match and Purchase Orders.
- Collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders to provide accurate project accounting.
- Prepare and present financial reports related to accounts payable for senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounts payable staff.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best terms.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Advanced degree or certification such as CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the energy industry is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in 3 Way Match, Purchase Orders, and Project Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
