ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ANALYST

The AP Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices while supporting strong financial controls within the procure-to-pay process. This role performs detailed invoice review, purchase order matching, vendor reconciliations, and payment processing, while also assisting with operational finance activities such as sales order support and month-end close.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with financial data and ERP systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ANALYST ROLE:

• Perform three-way matching of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
• Review and analyze vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
• Enter and code invoices in the ERP system, ensuring proper account allocation.
• Process vendor payments including ACH, wire transfers, and check runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies or outstanding items.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment or billing issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable documentation and records.
• Support month-end close activities including AP accruals, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Assist with sales order and work order administration as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the procure-to-pay process.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and accounting standards.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and operational reporting requests.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ANALYST ROLE:

• 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting Operations, or Financial Analysis
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics / Navision preferred)
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
