Role Summary:

Looking for a talented Assistant Designer for maternity cover to work with our BHLDN team across bridal reception dresses and seperates, ocassion dresses, and bridesmaids cateogries. Must be highly organised, with a strong eye for detail, high taste level, and eagerness to learn.

Role Responsibilities:

Assistant Designer for BHLDN team. Assisting with all functions of design process, including:

 

- Fashion forward trend and market research.

- Sketching in to concept to show to design leaders, and buyers.

- Working in AI to create interesting design ideas.

- Assist with fabric sourcing, and working closely with fabric team on seasonal development.

- Update sketch docs each week.

- Own details doc each season, and update throughout fit process.

- Assist Senior Designers with BOM updates and color approvals.

- Assist Senior Designers with fittings.

- Works closely with team on technical packages, and communicating development needs to tech team, and product development.

- Work closely with designers on sample review prep, and creating presentation pack.

Role Qualifications:

- Independently seeks out strong knowledge of trends, customer, and brand opjectives to support category.

- Collaborates well with cross functional departments.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Proactive and self motivated.

- Excellent sketching ability either by hand or on Illustrator.

- Flexible and adaptable with ability to flourish in a fast paced environment.

- 1-2 years of previous experience as an Assistant Designer.
