Job Title: Anesthesia Technician – PM Shift
Job Location: Chico, CA
Working Hours: 8-hour shifts, 1:00 PM start time, varied days off
Department: Surgery – Main OR
Position Summary
The Anesthesia Technician will support anesthesia providers within the inpatient Operating Room. This role involves preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, assisting with patient preparation, and ensuring efficient workflow to support safe and effective surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related equipment.
- Assist anesthesia providers with patient preparation and positioning.
- Ensure all supplies and equipment are available, cleaned, and properly stocked.
- Support airway management and monitor equipment during procedures as directed.
- Maintain aseptic and safety standards within the OR.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to support case flow.
- Document equipment usage, issues, and supply needs accurately.
- Minimum 2 years of Anesthesia Technician experience in a hospital setting.
- Current CPR/BLS certification through AHA or client.
- Successful completion of prior traveler assignments.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, supplies, and OR safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Level II Trauma environment.
- Familiarity with sterile technique and surgical workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
