Job Title: Analytical Lab Tech
Location: Bartow, FL
6 Month Contract
Onsite
Schedule: Day shift starts at 6:00 AM. This role works rotating 12-hour shifts on a DuPont schedule

Overview
This senior-level technician role provides support to the shift supervisor by coordinating the activities of all technicians on the shift and assisting the lab chemist with instrument maintenance, repairs, and preparation of reagents and solutions. The Senior Technician also trains new technicians, supports development of team members, and fills in for the shift supervisor or lab chemist as needed. Candidates must be fully proficient in all shift positions and capable of performing all standard analytical duties.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the shift supervisor by coordinating activities of all technicians on the shift.
  • Assist the lab chemist with instrument maintenance, repairs, and preparation of reagents and solutions.
  • Train new technicians and support team development.
  • Perform analytical testing proficiently across all shift positions.
  • Manage multiple analytical positions as needed due to workload or absences.
  • Assist in resolving laboratory instrument or procedure issues that arise during the shift.
  • Support special projects with analytical data.
  • Help plan and prioritize analytical workflows and review shift laboratory data.
  • Ensure safety standards and proper housekeeping throughout the shift.
  • Serve as acting Shift Supervisor in their absence.
  • Assist with instrument and equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Fill in for lab chemists at other sites (Bartow or Riverview) during absences.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
  • Laboratory experience: 1 year or more.
