What Security contributes to Cardinal Health
Global Security is responsible for providing measures to safeguard Cardinal Health's assets from circumstances that would cause loss or harm. Our vision is to function in tandem with the company's business needs and to proactively and innovatively prevent or mitigate risk while protecting significant company assets and being prepared to respond in an appropriate and professional manner when required.

The Security Operations and Intelligence Center (SOIC) is the centralized hub into which critical issues flow. These issues come from around the world, and from various Cardinal Health locations. The information is then compiled, analyzed, and distributed so that the affected business segments, employees, and customers are better prepared to respond to and recover from any crisis.

Responsibilities

Global Event Assessment and Reporting (50%)

  • Monitor developing global events and analyze each for potential impact on company assets
  • Identify, initiate, and coordinate the appropriate response and notification to senior management and crisis management teams
  • Draft intelligence reports covering relevant topics in relation to global business impact

Global Support & Incident Reporting (20%)

  • Provide (24x7x365) support on a global scale
  • Respond to various incidents that have been escalated to Global Security for resolution. Examples may include:
    • Alarm calls from enterprise security solutions provider
    • Fraud incidents
    • ACC or Workplace violence incidents

Headquarters Security Support (10%)

  • Dispatch local security officers to incident locations
  • Monitor and coordinate a response to security device activations (panic buttons, emergency phones, lockdown buttons, AED activations)
  • Assist the Dublin Security Team with Security Officer Scheduling and call offs
  • Monitor enterprise access control and critical alarms
  • Monitor the fire system and respond to alarm activations

Special Project Work (10%)

  • Assist with special projects that support Global Security and business initiatives

Video Investigation and Access Control (10%)

  • Monitors and navigates CCTV systems to assist in investigations or live security monitoring
  • Troubleshoots security system issues and escalates as appropriate
  • Assist with the provisioning and de-provisioning of badge access
  • Perform security system device audits

Working Hours: Sunday-Thursday 8:00pm-4:00am

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 0-2 years' experience in related field (Security/Security Solutions, Intelligence Analysis, Military, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Risk Management, Business Continuity, IT, etc.) or combination of professional experience and education
  • Knowledge of security systems, devices, and building automation systems in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge and experience in SharePoint
  • Experience with Office products (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experiences to a rapidly changing environment
  • Dedicated to the principal of Ethical behavior

  • Ability to resolve problems and develop process improvements
