What specific experience, background, and/or qualifications are you looking for in candidates for this position?

Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.

5 7 years related clinical applications experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Please verify any certificates and/or licenses required for the position: Epic Resolute HB or PB Claims and Remittance Admin certification.

Job Function:
Involves the design, building, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems. Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs. Works with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols. Prepares detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis. May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.

As a technical leader in clinical applications, applies advanced professional concepts and extensive industry knowledge to lead and / or work on medium to large projects of broad scope and complexity. May be recognized expert of an area of focus of business in clinical applications.

Department Overview:
Clinical Systems and Health Informatics are responsible for all aspects of the clinical and business software applications of *** hospitals, practices, affiliates, and community partners. This includes the Electronic Health Record (APeX), which supports the clinical, revenue cycle, and clinical operational functions of the health system and its affiliates, and approximately 95 other software applications involved in patient care and operations.
