Join Our Team as an Analyst Laboratory Information Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst specializing in Laboratory Information Systems to support and enhance our hospital's lab operations. This critical role involves building, supporting, and maintaining laboratory information systems to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and seamless integration across all hospital facilities. What You Will Do:
- Build, support, and maintain lab and pathology information systems for multiple hospital facilities.
- Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements and support operational needs.
- Participate in multi-departmental testing and seamless system integrations.
- Utilize your expertise in Cerner Millennium, with a preference for PathNet applications, to optimize laboratory data management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Stay current on industry regulations and system updates to maintain compliance and performance standards.
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Lab Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Senior Analyst within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Cerner Millennium Laboratory Information System.
- Experience with PathNet is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with other LIS platforms or hospital information systems.
- Knowledge of HL7 and other healthcare data exchange protocols.
- Certifications related to healthcare IT or systems analysis (e.g., Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) credentials).
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a healthcare systems analyst or senior analyst.
Other Requirements:
- No local candidates within 50 miles.
- Flexible to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Ability to support a 4-month contract with potential for extension.
- Willingness to travel and reimbursements applicable if required.
- Licensure, certification, and travel-related expenses reimbursed when applicable.
