Position Overview
Alternative Investments Analysts support investment teams by analyzing private and non-traditional asset classes, conducting due diligence, and assisting with portfolio construction and investment decision-making. Key Responsibilities
Conduct investment research and due diligence across alternative asset classes (e.g., private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, infrastructure)
Analyze fund managers, strategies, and historical performance
Build and maintain financial models and analytical tools to evaluate alternative investments
Assist with portfolio construction, asset allocation, and diversification analysis
Monitor existing investments, performance attribution, and risk exposures
Prepare investment memoranda and materials for investment committees
Track market trends, industry developments, and peer benchmarks in alternatives
Support manager selection, monitoring, and re-underwriting processes
Assist with valuation reviews, cash flow modeling, and capital call analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field
Strong interest in alternative investments and private markets
Understanding of investment fund structures, performance metrics, and due diligence processes
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research skills
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Python, SQL, or data tools is a plus
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear investment insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
