AI Solutions Architect- Hybrid

Overview

IRMI is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to lead and evolve our enterprise AI solutions, with a primary focus on supporting and enhancing our AI Enhanced Search chatbot platform. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving our Azure-based Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) application and developing new AI-powered tools for our customers. You will also champion the internal adoption of Microsoft AI technologies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Architect, maintain, implement, and optimize scalable AI solutions using Microsoft Azure, including Azure OpenAI, Cosmos DB, Function Apps (.NET and Python), and Azure Storage Accounts.

· Ensure compliance, data governance, and security in all AI and data operations, including management of sensitive data and adherence to organizational policies.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and analyze solutions using Application Insights to drive continuous improvement, optimize performance, cost, and user experience.

· Support and enhance the AI Enhanced Search chatbot, managing document embedding and vector search pipelines.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities and ensure quality and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

· Proven experience architecting and deploying AI solutions on Microsoft Azure (Cosmos DB, Function Apps, Storage, OpenAI).

· Strong proficiency in Python and .NET for Azure Functions.

· Deep understanding of vector search, document embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.

· Experience with Azure Key Vault, Application Insights, and secure API integrations.

· Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry for building and integrating business applications.

· Experience with OpenAI models (GPT-4o, GPT-5-nano, ADA embeddings) and related Python libraries (langchain, openai, tiktoken, numpy, etc.).

· Ability to manage and optimize cloud resources, rate limits, and deployment pipelines.

· Strong troubleshooting, documentation, analytics, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

· Microsoft Azure certifications (AI Engineer, Solutions Architect, Data Engineer).

· 2+ years' experience in enterprise search, chatbot development, and feedback-driven AI improvement.

· Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
