Kforce has a client in Tustin, CA that is seeking AI/ML Algorithm Engineers (Biomedical Signals) to join its advanced R&D team. We are working directly with the hiring manager on these searches. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and equity (RSUs). This role is fully onsite. Candidates must live in the local Orange County or Los Angeles metro areas. Role Overview You will help design and develop next generation, non invasive health monitoring technologies. The focus is on applying AI/ML and biomedical signal processing to multi modal physiological data to support disease detection, diagnosis, and prediction of critical events. You will work with data from invasive and non invasive sensors, electronic medical records, and audio, image, and video sources, collaborating closely with cross functional R&D teams. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML and deep learning models for biomedical applications
  • Develop advanced algorithms using machine learning, DSP, optimization, and numerical modeling
  • Train and evaluate models on large datasets using cloud infrastructure
  • Prototype new technologies and contribute patentable ideas
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers across R&D
  • Support clinical studies, including data collection, statistical analysis, and validation
  • Implement physiological measurement algorithms on embedded systems
  • Deliver high quality, well documented software

Requirements:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering (or related field)
  • 3-10+ years of work experience in AI/ML, signal processing, and algorithm development specifically in the Biomedical or Medical Device Industry.
  • Medical device or biotechnology industry experience required
  • Strong experience with ML/DL techniques (CNNs, RNNs, regression, classification, clustering)
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++
  • Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or scikit learn
  • Experience with DSP, embedded systems, and physiological signal analysis (ECG, EEG, EMG, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
Preferred:
  • Understanding of human physiology and clinical protocol design
  • Prior application of AI/ML and DSP techniques to biomedical signals

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
