Position Summary:
 We are seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative with a true hunter mentality—someone who knows how to open doors, build relationships, and get in front of key decision-makers. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who thrives on prospecting, closing deals, and growing territory revenue.While agricultural experience is a plus, it is not required. We are looking for strong sales skills first—the right candidate can learn our products and industry
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional Saturdays as needed)
Pay Range: $30–$40 per hour (based on experience)
Territory: Within a 50-mile radius of the store
Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively prospect and generate new business within a defined 50-mile territory
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers through cold calling, networking, and in-person visits
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and clients
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and follow-ups in a timely manner
  • Attend client meetings and internal meetings (1 day per week in-office)
  • Stay organized and detail-oriented, especially when handling complex bids and proposals
  • Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions

Work Structure
  • 4 days per week: Field prospecting and client visits
  • 1 day per week: In-office for quoting, administrative work, and client meetings

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven success in outside sales, business development, or similar role
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills (“hunter” mindset required)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Experience with government bidding, state contracts, or public sector sales is a major plus
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

Compensation
  • Base Salary: Starting around $60,000 (depending on experience)
  • Commission: Approximately 10% of net profit
  • Growth Structure: Compensation plan will evolve over time, transitioning to a higher commission structure with a reduced base salary as performance and book of business grow
