About the Role
EPS is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead development and execution of qualification and production testing for high-voltage battery propulsion systems used in aerospace and defense platforms.
You will oversee environmental, electrical, mechanical, and thermal testing in support of:
- Product development
- Certification programs
- Root cause investigation
- Production readiness
This role partners closely with Design, Systems, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to ensure test execution supports certification and program delivery timelines.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead development of qualification and production test plans
- Oversee environmental and electrical testing execution
- Support certification documentation and regulatory interactions
- Drive root cause investigations and failure analysis
- Ensure compliance with aerospace test standards such as:
- RTCA DO-160
- MIL-STD-810
- MIL-STD-461
- Manage test engineering personnel and lab operations
- Support system-level design reviews and program milestones
Required Background
- Bachelor's in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in aerospace or battery system testing
- Experience developing environmental or electrical test procedures
- Data acquisition & test analysis experience
- Prior leadership or technical team management experience
Preferred
- Lithium-ion battery or electric propulsion testing
- Certification program support
- Aerospace quality system environments
- Lab scale-up or qualification campaign experience
- FAA / ISO / Aerospace environmental standards familiarity
