ADON-Assistant Director of Nursing

• Clinical Oversight: Conducts daily rounds to monitor resident care, evaluates physical and emotional status, and ensures treatments are provided as ordered.
• Personnel Management: Assists in hiring, onboarding, and training new nursing staff (RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs). This includes creating schedules, conducting performance evaluations, and managing disciplinary actions.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensures the facility meets federal, state, and local standards. Often serves as the Infection Preventionist and leads Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Administrative Support: Assists with budget monitoring, medical record auditing, and the development of nursing policies.
• Leadership Stand-in: Assumes the full duties and authority of the Director of Nursing in their absence.

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license is typically required, though some facilities may accept a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with extensive experience.
• Experience: Most facilities require a minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience specifically in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like PointClickCare (PCC) or MatrixCare is often required.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills are essential for managing staff and interacting with residents' families.
