Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a wide variety of administrative/clerical functions in a fast-paced construction office environment.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Review and submit Asphalt/Truck tickets to Accounting Dept for payment daily
  • Coordinate and order Trip permits and handle renewals for Annual Permits
  • Emailing 3-day operations/truck schedules when required
  • Responsible for monthly vehicle Tag renewals
  • Review Fuel quantities for monthly reconciliation
  • Order Annual Intrastate fuel tax decals
  • Maintain Equipment checklists/breakdown submittals.
  • Review Pre/Post trip inspections and entering them in CMMS system
  • Assist with deposal/auctions of equipment
  • Help manage equipment rentals and assist in monitoring rental assignments
  • Approve timesheets when required
  • Attendance required according to APAC-Atlantic, Inc. Attendance Policy to ensure office operations function at normal efficiency level
  • Attitude/cooperation: always maintaining courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers and public.  Must adhere to Code of Business Conduct
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience

  • High school graduate preferred
  • DOT and/or construction knowledge is preferred but not required

 

Work Requirements

  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

 

Knowledge/Skills Requirements

  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
  • Knowledge of CMMS, Viewpoint, Infield is a plus.
  • Basic math ability is required.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Ability to perform under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member.

 

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Physical ability to sit, mobilize fingers and hands in such a way that keypunching and calculator can be utilized.
  • Bending and squatting may be required as filing is a necessity.
  • Hearing and speaking in such a way that communication is applied via one on one and via phone.
  • Sight is required in order to read contracts and other accounting materials in tangible form.
  • Lifting boxes onto shelves and moving as needed for use. Approximate weights of 25lbs or less.
  • Other physical demands that may be utilized but may be modified to fit individual needs: twisting, reaching, standing and walking.
