The Flat Gold Project is recruiting for its seasonal exploration program in Flat, Alaska, anticipated to run between April and October.  

 

Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the management and camp personnel by coordinating the office services, assist with travel, work schedule preparation, report compilation, document control, records control, and other duties as assigned during the 2026 field season. The field season is expected to extend from April to October 2026. The Administrative Assistant reports to the on-site operations management team.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Comply with safety, environmental and Company policies and procedures.
• Prepare travel arrangements to and from camp for passengers, prepare flight manifests, maintain travel schedule
on charter flights to and from camp, and track passenger flight weights for Flight Operations.
• Responsible for camp billeting.
• Communicate Site Specific Protocols to employees and visitors coming to the site.
• Oversee arrival paperwork completion and provide some training to new arrivals.
• Maintain accurate records of camp population.
• Perform general office duties to include faxing, copying, answering telephones, keeping office supplies in stock,
receiving and distribution of camp personnel mail.
• Prepare reports, memos, letters and other documents as assigned.
• Maintain the document control system for the project including document review, version control and electronic
filing system.

 

Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative office setting preferred.
• Proficient in written and verbal instruction. Must be organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related software.

 

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be frequently required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hand and fingers to handle or feel, regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

This position is a 2 week on / 2 weeks off rotation, working a 12-hour daily shift.
