We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have an Administrative Assistant opportunity in the Physician Assistant Program with a private, non-profit university. This university is known for its strong academic programs, professional schools, and commitment to service-driven education.

The Administrative Assistant in the Physician Assistant program is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries and respond promptly and professionally to requests for information on behalf of the PA program.
  • Utilize, monitor, and manage the PA program’s shared mailbox and listservs.
  • Send electronic communications on behalf of the PA program and monitor incoming messages.
  • Using standard office software, compose correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, forms, and other documents as directed by the Program Chair.
  • Ensure materials, reports, and documents are accurate and complete by proofreading and editing a variety of materials as directed by the Program Chair.
  • Prepare meeting materials, attend key meetings, and provide administrative follow-up as needed.
  • Coordinate PA departmental special events, including orientation and the annual long coat and short coat ceremonies (e.g., secure meeting spaces, contact vendors for food orders, materials, supplies, and audiovisual equipment, and oversee setup and cleanup).

Required qualifications for the position include:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Six (6) months or more of administrative support experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with faculty, students, and external contacts.

Preferred qualifications for the position include:

  • College degree or certification in a related field preferred.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
