Primary Performance Objectives
Direct client and stakeholder contact Insurance verification Weekly eligibility checks Authorization and payment collection Follow up insurance claim denial Scheduling clients across multiple providers Major data tracking system coordinator Survey collection Intake and record maintenance
Job Task Summary
- Provides warm and friendly interactions with individuals in-person, during phone calls, or through emails
- Verifies patient demographics and ensure information updated on regular basis
- Assists in client survey collection to support evaluation efforts
- Answers phone calls of general inquiry, referral intake, and scheduling appointments
- Follows-up to messages in same day
- Maintains daily record of major client list
- Assists with follow-up scheduling after being assigned to clinician
- Connects with professionals from DSS, DJJ, DOC, hospitals, and others in the community to coordinate client referrals
- Maintains professional boundaries with clients and stakeholders
- Responds to referrals received through online portal, phone referral, fax, email, or in person
- Maintains client files, documentation, and major client lists in a timely manner
- Completes administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
- Gathers referral and intake information, corresponding with multi-disciplinary individuals to coordinate scheduling appointments with clients and counselors
- Verifies insurance, completes regular eligibility checks, and tracks authorization units
- Completes prior authorizations requests
- Submits prior authorizations prior to sessions for billing purposes
Qualifications
- Two years administrative experience or an equivalent mix of education
and experience - Computer experience and/or training in Microsoft and Excel
- Exhibits strong customer service
- Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
- Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry
