Job Description: Addiction Counselor

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, 15233

Skills:

• Provide both individual and group counseling in a Medication-Assisted Outpatient Treatment Facility both in person and via telehealth (if available)
• AWOL Engagement Calls
• Collaborate with other treatment providers to assist client as needed
• Complete individualized treatment plans
• Responsible for scheduling and completing counseling appointments
• Must write up all required documentation, devising appropriate interventions and treatment plans
• Completes annual educational requirements
• Seeks and responds to supervision
• Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time
• Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks
• Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with clients, staff, the public and other entities
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Possess basic computer skills
• Good typing skills
• Bachelor's or Master's preferred
• Associates in a related field WITH one year experience

Work Environment:

• Moderation in temperature, noise
• Sitting at desk for hours
• Close vision at a computer
• Repetitive motions for computer use
