What You'll Do:
As the Activity Assistant (Recreational Aide), you’ll help bring meaningful activities, creativity, and joy to our participants each day. You’ll assist with recreational and therapeutic programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic activity programs to include group or individual recreational and social activities.
- Provides input into program plans to promote effective activity programming according to a participant’s abilities and preferences with Thome PACE Day Center daily flow of events and activities.
- Assists with community outings and special events for Thome PACE participants.
- Assists in developing a monthly calendar of events for participants.
- Maintains general order in the activities area, including daily clean up, routine supply inventory and ordering for the recreation department.
- Interview and assess participants as needed.
- Provides basic ADL care to assigned participants.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Activity programming experience.
- Minimum of (1) year working with the frail and elderly.
- Reliable transportation and possess a valid and current driver's license.
- CPR certified or willing to obtain.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
