We have an immediate opening for a new teammate in our accounting department. We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Representative to work in our Axes Physical Therapy Administration Office.

This position is an integral part of the accounting department and is an onsite only position.

Essential Job Functions include:

• Handles incoming calls to AR department regarding patient billing questions
• Reviews and works task that come through from payment poster
• Expeditious resolution of no auth/max benefits/note request
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
• ERA / EOB review to ensure insurance is paying per contract. Properly communicate when payment discrepancies exist
• Files appeals, when necessary.
• Performs other duties, as requested
• Maintains professional knowledge regarding medical billing and coding procedures, insurance carriers, federal programs etc.

Skills Required includes:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of insurance contracts, Workers Compensation and Group Health plans, ICD-10 codes, and CPT codes
• Experience working with a medical billing clearing house preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Be proficient in performing mathematical computations quickly and accurately

Qualification Required include:

• 3+ years of accounts receivable follow up
• Proficiency using Microsoft 365 applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
