KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Receivable & Billing (construction billing)
- Prepare and submit client billings, including Time & Material (T&M) and AIA progress billings
- Ensure payroll hours and labor costs reconcile accurately to client billings
- Track receivables, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain organized AR records
- Support lien waivers, compliance documentation, and billing backup as required by clients
Payroll & Compliance Support
- Process in-house payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure payroll data aligns with job cost, certified payroll, and client billing requirements
- Assist with certified payroll reporting and documentation across multiple jobs
- Maintain payroll and billing related records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
Process & Accuracy
- Follow established procedures and controls consistently
- Identify discrepancies or issues early and bring forward proposed solutions or next steps
- Maintain clear documentation so work can be easily picked up or reviewed by others
- Communicate clearly and directly when questions or issues arise
Accounts Recievable Clerk
Electrical Construction
Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Clerk, in collaboration with the Accounts Payable Clerk, plays a key role in ensuring construction payroll is processed accurately, customers are invoiced timely, and funds are collected in accordance with proper accounting procedures.
This position supports construction-specific accounting functions, including payroll that directly ties to client billings, Time & Material and AIA invoicing, and compliance requirements such as certified payroll. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, as the work performed in this role directly impacts client billing, cash flow, and regulatory compliance.
