Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable Associate opportunity available for a well-known non-profit organization in White Plains.  This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of Accounts Payable experience, who is looking for a role with room for advancement. This position will be fully onsite, Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm, and is a potential temp-to-direct hire opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Processing manual check payments in FundEZ accounting software and record ACH/EFT payments via the AvidXchange AP automation software system
• Assist in manual check cutting process
• Ensure new vendors/suppliers are entered with proper approval; review & edit supplier information, accounting codes, workflow, account numbers
• Review invoices to ensure accuracy
• Run monthly reports and research outstanding payments
• Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or other related field preferred 
• 2-3 years of experience in Accounts payable, preferably in a non-profit organization
• Competency with MS Office programs, specifically MS Excel
• A strong general understanding of accounting systems (FundEZ and/or Avid Xchange would be preferred but similar systems are acceptable) and accounting functions
