Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist role:

• The Accounts Payable Specialist will handle complex payable transactions from a shared Accounts Payable email account and maintain files and vendor information
• Verify transaction information and coding—and maintain files and vendor information
• Prepare disbursements and obtain authorization for payment through DocuSign
• Backup check printing, obtain signatures and match/mail checks
• Answer vendor inquiries, resolve discrepancies and frequently interact with other internal departments
• Print accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files and documentation

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Proven skills: problem-solving, documentation, research & resolution, and multi-tasking
• Adaptable / flexible - ability to work in a complex and rapidly changing environment while meeting deadlines
• People oriented and enjoys working within a team
• Excellent organization and communication skills with attention to detail
• Achievement oriented – enjoys taking on challenges
