Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr - $23/hr
Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp-to-Hire, with potential to convert to permanent), you'll be the backbone of nonprofit finance operations. Managing high-volume invoices with precision, the Accounts Payable Specialist ensures vendors are paid on time while supporting the organization's mission. This role also provides exposure to general accounting functions within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Accurately match, batch, and code a high volume of invoices.
- Assist with general accounting and finance functions as needed.
- Utilize accounting systems such as Intacct (preferred) for accounts payable processing.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate with finance team members to streamline processes and support month-end close.
- Take on ad hoc accounting tasks to support team objectives.
- Experience in data entry, transaction processing, or accounts payable.
- Ability to efficiently manage high-volume transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptability to thrive in a nonprofit finance environment.
- Experience with Intacct or similar accounting software.
- Previous nonprofit finance experience is a plus.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate with potential for permanent placement.
