Location: Nashville, TN (100% in office)

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $25-26/hr

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support the day-to-day accounts payable function for a growing organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

·        Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely entry into the accounting system.

·        Prepare and process payments including checks, ACH, and electronic payments.

·        Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

·        Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation.

·        Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.

·        Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries.

·        Support accounts payable processes across multiple business locations.

·        Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within AP processes.

·        Assist with special projects and other accounting support tasks as needed.

Qualifications

·        2+ years of accounts payable experience.

·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·        Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
