The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, matching purchase orders and receiving reports, and ensuring proper coding for payment.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, verifying accuracy of product quantities, pricing, and payment terms.
• Apply customer payments accurately to outstanding invoices and reconcile daily cash receipts.
• Conduct vendor statement reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
• Manage accounts receivable collections by communicating with customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.
• Prepare payment runs for approved vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliations for AP and AR accounts.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data within the accounting or ERP system.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation.
• Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail in financial data entry and processing.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for vendor and customer interactions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Familiarity with inventory accounting principles or basic cost accounting concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives or automation in finance functions.
• Experience with multi-currency transactions or international vendor/customer accounts.
