Overview:

Stryten Energy manufactures components that supply the automotive and consumer markets.

 

This position is responsible for accurately reviewing and transmitting payroll to the corporate office for processing; entering daily production hours, receiving into JDE; reviewing invoices and supporting corporate accounts payable.  Assisting the Plant Controller with month end/close processes, cycle counts, and issuing Po’s.  Position also supports the Plant Manager and Plant Controller with completing tasks as assigned.

  • Process hourly payroll weekly for transmission to Corporate
  • Review UKG time system for accurate information
  • Assure proper approvals of time sheet per internal controls
  • Prepare and review payroll reports for management
  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs for payroll processing
  • Train supervisors on proper payroll procedures
  • Report all discrepancies on time recording records and attendance sheets to the proper supervisor for correction
  • Correctly calculate and enter monetary adjustments for hourly employees
  • Perform clerical duties associated with daily labor reporting and miscellaneous reports
  • Assist in month-end and close procedures
  • Receive goods from packing lists including reviewing for proper receiving documentation on paperwork: reviewed, signed and dated
  • Produce and review reports for accuracy of data entered
  • Review vendor accounts and invoices
  • Assign invoices with issues to appropriate staff
  • Review vendor accounts for issues
  • Support vendor questions for timely payment by Corporate
  • Perform administrative functions to include answering telephone; processing mail; coordinating ordering supplies, plant employee meeting, visits from customers, visitors, and corporate employees
  • Support plant management with any requests or issues requiring assistance
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties that are assigned by Plant Manager and Plant Controller
Qualifications:

 

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in areas of payroll, accounts payable, office administration, and coordinating office/plant activities.
  • Associates degree; accounting knowledge; and JD Edwards experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, specifically Excel, and Word
  • Highly motivated individual with good written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills attention to detail, initiative and willingness to take on new projects.
  • Inductive Reasoning — Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • Problem Sensitivity — Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, craw, squat, kneel and climb able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals and lift 40 pounds from floor level, able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms, able to wear respirator and other PPE as required, able to climb stairs.  Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions.  Exposed to lead, fumes, chemicals, operating equipment, and vehicles.
