Accounts Payable Manager
Overview:
System One is partnering with a client seeking an AP Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day AP operations, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment disbursements
- Supervise and develop AP staff, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain and improve internal controls and AP processes
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies or payment issues
- Partner with cross-functional teams (procurement, finance, operations) to streamline workflows
- Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including leadership responsibility
- Required: SAP experience
- Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and reconciliations
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred:
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Experience with system implementations or ERP enhancements
