Job Description
International textiles distribution company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to manage a high volume of invoices from truckers, freight carriers, and customers. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate invoice data entry, allocation of landing costs and invoice processing.
Responsibilities
+ Receive and process over 100 invoices weekly from truckers, freight carriers, and customers.
+ Verify charges against expected costs and investigate discrepancies or potential overcharges.
+ Enter invoices as landing costs into accounting systems, ensuring accurate allocation of ocean freight, trucking, and manual costs.
+ Communicate with vendors via email to clarify excessive or unclear charges.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to reconcile costs and support accurate financial reporting.
+ Maintain organized records and support month-end close processes.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting required.
+ 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience, processing frieght invoices
+ Supporting Logistics, Distribution, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Delivery Services, or Commerical Trucking industries.
+ Strong attention to detail and a fast learner mindset
+ Comfortable in a high-volume, manual invoice environment
+ Experience with SAP or Microsoft Dynamics is a bonus
+ Excel proficiency
Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. The workplace is located in a nice area, providing a comfortable environment for focused work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
