We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Accounts Payable Clerk

Role and Responsibilities

• Accesses computerized information utilizing accounting software to maintain vendor/customer contacts, record, store and analyze information
• Receives and reviews invoices from vendors in high-volume
• Calculates and prepares checks for suppliers, utilities, taxes and other payments
• Ensures timely payments to customers and may conduct company inquiries to payee
• Reconciles invoices received against purchase orders and records necessary information
• Codes and batches invoices in accounting system according to company procedures
• Maintain files of paid and unpaid invoices and paid check files
• Assists with resolution of discrepancies in accounting records, as needed
• Performs general office duties such as filing, answering telephones and handling routine correspondence
• Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
• May perform other duties as assigned

Education, Training and Skills

• 3 or more years’ experience in accounts receivable/payable
• Experience in Great Plains accounting software preferred
• 10-Key experience within an accounting function
• Email and written messaging with intermediate Excel knowledge
• Proficient English abilities required
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to follow documented procedures, standards and policies
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision

Working Conditions and Essential Abilities & Functions

• Warehouse environment (may not be climate-controlled)
• Occasional standing, crouching and stooping
• Frequent sitting, reaching and twisting
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
