Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Associate
The Accounts Payable Associate will:
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure compliance with company policies, timely check runs, and accurate month‑end procedures.
- Review invoice coding and communicate discrepancies to property managers, explaining required changes and copying the Accounts Payable Supervisor on correspondence.
- Perform invoice data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Match vendor checks to invoices and prepare checks for mailing.
- Maintain proper filing and organization of all accounts payable invoices.
- Audit employee expense reports to ensure proper documentation is included.
- Follow up on vendor and internal inquiries as directed by the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
- Assist with year‑end preparation of 1099‑MISC forms.
- Support additional special projects and perform other accounts payable tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Associate
The Accounts Payable Associate should have:
- At least one year of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Experience with ERP systems and basic Excel proficiency.
