Accounts Payable Specialist - Nonprofit Organization
Location: Pleasant Hill, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: $29-$38 per hour (DOE)

A mission‑driven nonprofit in Pleasant Hill is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle AP process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced with Blackbaud financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable
- Review, code, and enter invoices into Blackbaud
- Maintain accurate vendor files and reconcile statements
- Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Assist with month-end closing and AP-related reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and nonprofit accounting standards
- Support audit preparation as needed
- Collaborate with program managers to resolve invoice discrepancies
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience (nonprofit AP strongly preferred)
- Blackbaud (Financial Edge or similar) is highly preferred
- Experience with Concur Expense and Concur invoice is required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel skills required
- Ability to work onsite in Pleasant Hill
