Position Summary

Join ProAmpac as an Accounting Specialist to drive efficiency across our financial functions. We are seeking an organized professional to manage travel systems, execute monthly reconciliations, and maintain the integrity of our financial data in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. This role is responsible for driving organizational goals through the execution of critical clerical accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will provide high-level support to the Accounting and Finance function, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency across all financial workflows.

Essential Duties and Tasks
  • System Administration: Manage and oversee the company’s travel and expense platforms to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Financial Execution: Perform core accounting procedures, including the timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analysis.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain precise accounts and reports, including the setup of new accounts and the management of system-wide information.

  • Reporting & Accruals: Assist in identifying required month-end accruals and prepare supplemental details for monthly and quarterly financial reports.

  • Audit Readiness: Prepare comprehensive schedules and documentation to support the company’s annual financial statement audit.

  • General Ledger Management: Perform regular reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts to ensure balance and accuracy.

  • Departmental Support: Provide cross-functional assistance as required to maintain the continuous efficiency of the accounting department.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • Education: HS/GED required.

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a related accounting or clerical field.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Teams, and Outlook.

  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive financial information.

  • Organizational Excellence: Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet rigorous deadlines.

  • Professional Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with executive leadership, staff, and external clients.

  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Strong judgment and decision-making skills; able to identify process gaps and develop viable solutions.
