Accounting Manager
A well-established, global manufacturing organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its North America team. The company operates internationally with a strong presence across multiple regions and offers a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Position Overview of Accounting Manager:
The Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Finance and oversee core operational accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and the month-end close process. This role will begin as an individual contributor with the opportunity to grow.
Key Responsibilities of Accounting Manager:
- Partner with operations on bill of materials (BOM) costing, inventory management, and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis
- Support the Director of Finance in managing all accounting activities for the U.S. entity
- Lead the month-end close process and oversee general ledger accuracy
- Implement and improve processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and group reporting packages
- Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams
Qualifications of Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Cost accounting experience required
- Background in manufacturing, construction, or another cost-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Epicor ERP
- CPA designation
- Public accounting background
- Experience with Sage 50 (Peachtree)
- Strong KPI and financial analysis experience
