Job Details
Core Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Oversight: Manage the full-cycle accounting for a mixed portfolio including Residential, Commercial, and HOA assets.
- Fund Accounting: Maintain strict separation between Operating and Reserve funds to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Client Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial packages (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Budget Variance) for property owners and HOA Boards of Directors.
- Technical Management: Utilize AppFolio to track high-volume assessments, handle trust account reconciliations, and manage vendor payments.
- Audit & Compliance: Coordinate year-end audit preparation and ensure all statutory filings and tax packages are accurate and timely.
Required Qualifications:
- Software: Mastery of AppFolio is required.
- Experience: 4+ years of Property Accounting experience, with a specific focus on HOA/Association accounting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Skillset: Strong understanding of trust accounting, delinquency management (pre-liens), and board-level reporting.
- Location: Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (office/remote) in the San Diego/Kearny Mesa area.
